About this Event
Stand-Up & SHINE Camps (Intermediate–Advanced)
Back by popular demand, our week-long Stand-Up & SHINE Camps scheduled for Monday, August 3 to Friday, August 7, 2026, with full and half-day options, returns—and this one is designed for students who already have some experience in stand-up comedy, theater, or improv. This Intermediate–Advanced Camp goes deeper into writing, refining, and performing—while still staying grounded in the SHINE framework.
Campers will build on what they already know, strengthen their voice, and craft stories that are uniquely theirs—turning reflection into material and material into a performance they’re proud of.
Designed for ages 10-14, this program features two engaging camp options:
- Morning Camp (9:00 AM–12:30 PM): Dive into the SHINE framework (the Strengths, Hobbies, Interests & Irritants, Needs, and Experiences that make each of us unique) through guided activities, journaling, and team-building games that build self-awareness and confidence.
- Afternoon Camp (1:30 PM–5:00 PM): Level up your storytelling and comedy writing skills. From crafting punchlines to practicing stage presence, campers will prepare for a Friday night comedy showcase, where they’ll SHINE on stage in front of a live audience.
- Full-Day Option (9:00 AM–5:00 PM): Includes both camps plus a supervised lunch hour from 12:30–1:30 PM, packed with fun activities.
Spots are limited to 12 participants per camp. Early bird discounts are available until June 15 or when spots fill.
