Stand Out! A Celebration of Autism Acceptance is a community event, created to celebrate, embrace, and support individuals with autism and other developmental differences. Held during Autism Acceptance Month, Stand Out! goes beyond awareness to focus on acceptance, inclusion, and belonging. This family-friendly event brings together individuals with autism, their families and friends, local businesses, and community partners for a day filled with fun, connection, and purpose.The celebration features sensory-friendly activities, children’s attractions, local vendors, food, and community resources, all designed to create an environment where individuals of all abilities feel welcomed, valued, and safe to be themselves.
In addition to celebrating neurodiversity, Stand Out! helps raise critical support for Growing Together Behavioral Center, a Jacksonville-based nonprofit serving children, teens, and young adults with autism. Proceeds and donated items from this event directly support programs that promote skill development, independence, inclusion, and meaningful opportunities across the lifespan.
