Seen by many as one of the most spectacular events in rock and roll history, The Last Waltz, the farewell concert held on Thanksgiving of 1976 by the Canadian-American roots rock group known as The Band, was presented in the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco, the very same venue where The Band debuted eight years prior, in 1968. The event was captured on film by Martin Scorsese, and reliving that wondrous occasion has become a holiday tradition for many fans of The Band over the years.Stage Fright: A Tribute to The Band, has embraced that tradition and created a night of MUST SEE music. They will perform selections from The Last Waltz and more, joined on stage by a wealth of talented local musicians. The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, November 28, in the Coolidge Theatre, located inside the Deane Center for the Performing Arts in Wellsboro, PA.
Stage Fright includes Joe Callahan from Wellsboro, Sean Monroe from Horseheads, NY, Mike Watkins from Addison, NY, and Mike Nickerson and Joe Narde, both from Corning, NY.
Also joining the band on stage will be local guest singers and musicians Molly Cary, Trevor Clark, Dave Driskell, Karin Knaus, Brandon Lusk, Bryan Nickerson, Josh Sperrick, Kira Woods, and Jason Bump.
