Koen & Aurora donnent un chouette stage de danse folk intensif à Neufchâteau, dans le sud de la Belgique. 💃🕺🔸 Les variations pour les danses de couple composent le thème principal de ce stage: mazurka, scottish, valse, valses irrégulières et éventuellement les bourrées. On apprendra également quelques danses régionales spécifiques: danses gasconnes, bretonnes, basques ou béarnaises ainsi que des variations pour la gigue et d'autres mixers…
🔸 Ce programme de base sera complété d'autres danses en fonction des propositions, préférences et/ou besoins des stagiaires. Le fil rouge à travers tout le stage: apprendre à bien guider/suivre et assurer la communication dans la danse.
🔸 Aurora apporte son expérience corporelle en tant que danseuse contemporaine pour donner des échauffements et exercices au service des danses folk et trad.
🔸 Le stage s'adresse à la fois aux danseurs débutants et intermédiaires. Pendant environ 40% du temps du stage, nous travaillerons en deux groupes séparés, selon le niveau. Koen et Aurora donneront des exercices et corrections individuelles personnalisées, pour que tout le monde progresse à sa propre vitesse, indépendamment de son niveau initial.

Koen and Aurora teach a fun and intense summer school in Neufchâteau, in the South of Belgium. 💃🕺
🔸 Variations for couple dances are the main part of this summer school: mazurka, scottish, waltz, irregular waltzes and bourrée. In addition, we also teach a number of specific regional dances from Gascogne, Brittany, Poitou and the Basque country, as well as variations for jig and other mixers. This basic programme is complemented with other dances based on the suggestions, preferences and/or needs of the participants.
🔸 The common thread for this summer school is to improve communication while dancing, thanks to a better technique, in order to lead and follow more easily.
🔸 Aurora brings her body experience as a contemporary dancer to give warm-ups and exercises that prepare you for learning folk and trad dances.
🔸 We will learn different dances and variations than previous editions, even if the description of the workshop stays the same.
🔸 This summer school is aimed both at beginners and dancers of intermediate level. From time to time, we will work in two separate groups, based on the dance level. Koen and Aurora will give individual exercises and corrections, so that everyone can progress at their own speed, regardless of their original level.
