Stage 4th Society 邀请您参加「旧剧新声系列」首场演出，呈现美国剧作家苏珊·格拉斯佩尔（Susan Glaspell）的两部经典独幕剧：《压抑的欲望》（Suppressed Desires）与《琐事》（Trifles）。
一部以机智幽默的讽刺，揭示人们对自我分析与心理解读的执着；一部则在看似平静的日常中，透过被忽略的细节，逐步揭开隐藏的真相。
两部作品写于百余年前，却依然回应着今天的我们——关于关系、身份、社会期待，以及那些未被听见的声音。
本次演出采用中文演出、英文字幕形式，以舞台朗读（Staged Reading）的方式，带领观众重新发现经典文本的力量，并在跨文化的语境中展开新的对话。

Stage 4th Society invites you to the first installment of our Staged Reading Series, featuring Susan Glaspell's Suppressed Desires and Trifles — two early modern one-act plays that continue to resonate today.
One uses sharp humour to expose the absurdity of over-analysis and self-discovery taken to extremes. The other unfolds as a quiet mystery, revealing how the smallest details can carry the greatest weight. Together, these plays explore relationships, identity, social expectations, and the voices that often go unheard.
Presented in Mandarin with English subtitles, this staged reading offers audiences an opportunity to experience classic theatre through a contemporary intercultural lens.
