Coming to you LIVE from a dark, narrow hollow leading to an unholy lair deep within the bowels of the earth, it's TVs of Terror's 3rd annual Staff Picks double-feature extravaganza! This year, we're proud and excited to bring you a dastardly pair of video store "classics" slapped together by Nick and Chayse themselves a long time ago.Of what hellish duo do we speak? None other than SLIME CITY and DEMON WIND!
1988's Slime City concerns the misadventures of Alex, a student in NYC looking for an apartment on his miniscule student budget. The one he finds is rundown, but it's cheap. After moving in, he meets his eccentric neighbors and learns of one of the building's stranger tenants - an alchemist named Zachary, who left some "wine" in the cellar. Once Alex tries the substance, his life starts to...er...melt away.
1990's Demon Wind centers around the strange, dilapidated ruin of a shack deep in the hills of California, where our protagonist Cory, along with a troupe of intrepid friends and lovers, hopes to find answers to his past. Shrouded in mystery and claimed to be evil by nearby residents, the cabin soon comes alive and traps the group inside, with the threat of death and possession waiting on the other side of the door. Cory and company may just get blown away by the DEMON WIND.
We're very excited to be bringing you these two crazy cinematic oddities on pristine VHS copies straight from Chayse's voluminous library! As per usual, there will be pizza, popcorn, and candy for the early arrivals; and we'll have a raffle for trivia and prizes at the end of the movies. We'll also have one or two special drinks in the bar for the over-21s!
