Katherine “Katie” Gotch, LPC, ATSA-F

Oregon SOTB Certified Clinical Sexual Offense Therapist

Ms. Gotch has worked in the field of sexual abuse prevention since 2000 as a clinician, evaluator, trainer, educator, and in evidence-informed legislative/policy development. She currently maintains a private practice, Integrated Clinical & Correctional Services, which provides specialized clinical and consultation services related to adults with sexual behavior problems and other forms of abusive/violent behavior. She frequently provides training to correctional agencies, treatment providers, policy makers, and other community partners on sexual offense specific management and treatment, static and dynamic risk, incorporation of the risk/need/responsivity principles into practice, public policy, public engagement, and related topics. She is a certified Static-99R/STABLE & ACUTE-2007 trainer.

STABLE-2007 & ACUTE-2007:

Comprehensive risk assessment incorporates the use of both static (e.g., Static-99R) and dynamic risk assessment instruments. The STABLE-2007 & ACUTE-2007 are one of the most commonly used dynamic sexual offense specific risk assessment instruments within behavioral health, correctional, and court settings.

This session will provide an overview of the development and research of the STABLE-2007 & ACUTE-2007, item-by-item instructions for scoring the tools, and appropriate interpretation and use within varying settings. This will include recent guidance on the appropriate use of these tools with individuals convicted of child sexual abuse material-related offenses. Case studies will be utilized to facilitate practice throughout the training and to learn to avoid common administration errors.

Materials will be sent out on in the week prior to the training. A certificate of completion for the 8-hour training will be provided. Oregon licensed social workers are encouraged to inquire with their board to see if this training qualifies for CEUs.

Registration ends one day before the event.
