About this Event
Join us for an in-house Stability & Mobility training workshop hosted by Dr. Daniel Bannink of Healthquest Physical Therapy. During the event, we’ll discover an 18 minute routine guaranteed to improve your comfort on the bike. 20 spots are available, so please RSVP to reserve a spot. Here is a little more about the class from Dr. Daniel Bannink himself -
“As cyclists, we are naturally predisposed to have tight thoracic spines, pec muscles and hip flexors. And though our Quads and Glute Max muscles are strong - we tend to lack good core and lateral hip stability. The result is grumpy low backs, achy necks, pissy knee caps and the posture of a cashew. (That's all medical terminology, by the way.)”
“One time through takes about 18 minutes. It works well as a supplement to your regular training rides or strength workouts. 2 or 3 times through without much rest is a significant effort and works well as a stand-alone workout. (Think of it as a challenge, a crucible if you will, such that your success at the end causes changes to your very soul.)”
We see this as a great opportunity to pick up some new skills to throw into your off-season routine, setting you up for even more cycling success as we get closer to the riding season. We'll see you at 4:00PM on Sunday, Jan. 26th @ KLM Rochester Hills!
