Welcome to the official St Paul Art Crawl Comedy Night @ Gambit Brewing!

Lowertown's favorite new room for comedy is now officially part of the 2024 St Paul Art Crawl. And what better way to kick off the weekend festivies than with a Friday night standup comedy show featuring an all-St Paul lineup?! We're bringing you some of the city's very best: headliners Elise Cole, Jimmie Davis & host Jesse The Shrink all have headlining experience, all performed in last year's St Paul Comedy All-Stars Show, have a combined 50+ years of standup comedy experience, & have called St Paul home for decades! Jimmie started his own comedy club in the city back in the 90s, Elise released her debut comedy album "Real Hot Dumb Dumbs" in 2023, while Jesse produced & performed in the St Paul Comedy All-Stars Show & created this year's inaugural Funniest Person in St Paul contest. See below for more details about each of them!

Elise Cole

A Twin Cities favorite, Elise is an Iranian-Jewish comedian who has long called St Paul home. She is also a wife, mother, waitress, & published writer who finds humor in the challenges she faces in her day-to-day life, including marriage & parenting in the 21st Century.

Elise has co-produced the Minneapolis-based showcase People Of Comedy, was a Funniest Person with a Day Job semifinalist at House of Comedy in Mall of America, opened for NPR's Ophira Eisenberg at the 10th Annual Twin Cities Jewish Humor Festival, & last year released her debut comedy album “Real Hot Dumb Dumbs” (available on Apple Music, iHeartRadio, YouTube Music, & Deezer). She was also a headliner in last year’s St Paul Comedy All-Stars Show & is regularly featured at Acme Comedy Club in Minneapolis.

Jimmie Davis

Jimmie is a Minnesota "nice" native. He began his comedy career in the early 1990s by honing his craft at local clubs such as Knuckle Heads Comedy Club. He would quickly venture out to perform at venues all over the Twin Cities, including the Minnesota State Fair.

Jimmie started Full of It Comedy Club in St Paul in the late 1990s, where he featured up-and-coming comedians in the area to help them hone their skills. Since then he has continued performing his brand of hilarious comedy routines across the US. He was featured in 2023’s St Paul Comedy All-Stars Show at Laugh Camp Comedy Club & recently headlined downtown St Paul's sold-out 420 Standup Comedy Show.

Jesse The Shrink

What do you get when you mix a shrink & comedian? This guy! Jesse is a bona fide licensed therapist & standup comic who gives audiences a sneak peek into the inner-workings & often hilarious experiences of a mental health professional. Whether he’s talking about navigating virtual therapy sessions during an apocalypse or just trying to figure out what to tell drunk people he does for a living, one thing’s sure: after hearing his stories you’ll never see therapy (or your therapist) the same again!

Jesse is the producer & host of Jesse The Shrink’s Midlife Crisis Show, the St Paul Comedy All-Stars Show, Friday Night Comedy at Gambit Brewing, the 420 Standup Comedy Show, & the St Paul Art Crawl Comedy Night. He’s also co-founder of Freshly Squeezed Comedy, founder of the Funniest Person in St Paul contest, & runs a weekly comedy open mic at Gambit Brewing. Jesse was a 2024 Funniest Person With A Day Job finalist at House of Comedy in Mall of America & has been a guest on the KQRS Morning Show & Tom Barnard Podcast.
