The St Patrick's Festival on the Waterfront Parade and Concert is back for 2026! Come and join the Irish Communities of Te Whanganui-a-Tara on Sunday 15th March, and invite your family and friends. Everyone is welcome. This year the parade starts from Te Papa. Paddy McCann will be there from 12noon to get everyone's toes tapping to Irish music until St Patrick and St Brigid lead the Parade along the waterfront. As always everyone is welcome to walk alongside the county flag that is special for them.
Be under the sails at Queen's Wharf for the concert from 1:30-4:30pm. This year's entertaiment includes music from Crossroads, Sláinte, Hutt Valley Children's Singers, and dancing from Gregan Irish Dancers, Kerry School of Irish Dancing and the Ryan-Dorris School of Dancing.
Come prepared to join in the craic. The ceílí is back, along with the crowd choir, and who will be this year's best dressed in green? There'll be face painting, art and crafts, storytelling and icecream for the kids. The GAA will be back on the sausage sizzle so bring some cash.
This year, we end the day with a special prize draw and make sure you're there to lift the sails with everyone joining in Fields of Athenry.
