Tulipán Foundation invites families to attend the annual St. Nick’s Day Family Celebration on Saturday, December 6, from 1:30 to 4:30 pm, at the Hungarian House, 213 East 82nd Street, New York, NY 10028. Organized in collaboration with the Arany János Hungarian School and the Hungarian Scout Association in Exteris, the event features Hungarian holiday traditions for children and families.Activities include holiday crafts led by artisan Andrea Nehéz, where families can decorate gingerbread cookies with Hungarian folk motifs, create Advent centerpieces using natural materials, and make handmade ornaments. The event will also include a visit from St. Nicholas, who will distribute traditional Mikulás csomag—a red bag filled with treats—and live Hungarian folk music.
Made possible by the Tulipán Foundation, the event is free and open to the public. Registration is now open. Space is limited. Please reserve tickets by Monday, December 1, 2025.
