Come along to St. Luke’s Flower, Art and Music Festival during Toowoomba’s Carnival of Flowers. There will be daily concerts at midday featuring singing and instruments, including our magnificent pipe organ. This year features artist Olga Bakhtina’s “Garden of Hope”, alongside a magnificent floral display in St Luke’s church. Lots of teddy bears will make an appearance. There will be a plant stall and book stall, along with food vans and other stalls. The Carnival parade runs right past St. Luke’s on Saturday, so makes a great vantage point. The Festival will be officially opened by Mayor Geoff McDonald and Bishop Cam Venables on Thursday the 19th of September at 5pm. There will be canapes and light entertainment. RSVP to the Parish Office for catering purposes.
Carpooling and day tripping are highly recommended, because there is very limited parking and accommodation available during Toowoomba’s busiest event.
