Discover the biodiversity on the campus of the UF/IFAS Extension St. Lucie County, 8400 Picos Road, Fort Pierce, FL.About this Event
During this bioblitz event, participants will use iNaturalist to catalog the wildflowers on site. We will venture out on the unmarked, sometimes rough, trails learning about native wildflowers on the UF/IFAS Extension St. Lucie County campus. Participants will be asked to install the iNaturalist app on their phone prior to meeting up on April 26, 2024 and join the project “St. Lucie County UF/IFAS Extension Spring 2026 Bioblitz.” Extension programs are open to all persons without regard to race, color, sexual orientation, sex, age, disability, religion, or national origin. People seeking accommodation can make requests two weeks prior to start of the event.
Participants should wear appropriate field attire. Closed toe shoes, boots, long pants, hat are recommended. The property does contain some rugged terrain that some individuals may find difficult to navigate- these areas can be avoided for others who may not be comfortable. Personal cellphone are required.
Registration is required. For additional information, email Bridget Gerovac at [email protected].
