The Songwriters Collective has a long and proud tradition in Melbourne of hosting some of Melbourne’s finest and most gifted singer songwriters. Artists are sought based on specific factors; unique musicianship, insightful lyrics, social engagement, and performance charisma. These artists produce songs that cause the feet to tap, the heart to enliven, and the goosebumps inspired in those special transcendent moments, where artists and audience become as one, immersed in musical reverence.
The stage provides at times a chill out zone, amidst a vibrant and busy festival, and other times became 500 people strong captivated audience, with a large dance space up front. Ben Smith, the usual headliner, particular inspires with his iconic tune “I play the music, you just dance”.
