According to legend, Sicily was plagued by drought and famine many centuries ago and in desperation, the people turned to St. Joseph, asking for his help and intercession. The rains came, the crops prospered, and the people of Sicily gave thanks by preparing a feast from the bountiful harvest. They erected a lovely altar with three levels, representing the Holy Trinity.
Please join us as we honor St. Joseph and give our prayerful intentions at our Altar.
