About this Event
This annual two-day course is designed for registered nurses who are developing or refining their skin surgery skills to support delivery of clinical services or research studies in a dermatology setting.
Theory sessions delivered virtually and in person by our expert team will include; histopathology, using local anaesthetic, surgical anatomy, medico-legal considerations, skin surgery assessment, planning and preparation.
The practical sessions will introduce a range of skin surgery techniques, suturing and post-operative wound care.
Please note that prospective attendees should work in a suitable clinical setting, with a designated clinical supervisor to enable supervised skin surgery skills practice to achieve competency after attending this course.
