Following a successful comeback in 2025, St Denys Carnival returns as part of a week-long arts festival in St Denys on Saturday 23rd May.St Denys Community Centre will be the main base for the parade start and finish but we are also joined by our sister venues St Denys Social Club, St Denys Church, Woodies at the Junction, The South Western Arms, The Dolphin and the New Testament Church of God (NTCG).
The theme for this year’s carnival parade is ‘Pirates of the River Itchen’ and we welcome small floats powered by foot, pedal or electric motors.
As well as the parade, we have live music at the Community Centre from the Black Kat Boppers, Southampton Ukulele Jam, Angling for Farthings and Jenni Casey, workshops, stalls, the St Denys Cake-Off competition and more!
After the activities at the Community Centre draw to a close, the festivities continue in the nearby pubs and St Denys Social club until late.
We are taking bookings for craft stalls and trader pitches at the Community Centre but availability is now limited: https://form.jotform.com/253276795384371. There are also opportunities for stalls at St Denys Social Club and the New Testament Church of God (NTCG) - please contact the venues direct to enquire further.
