🌿🌼Celebrate St. David’s Day at The Fiddlin’ Pig 🌼🌿St. David’s Day is a Welsh holiday on March 1 to honor the country’s patron saint, St. David. This celebratory day has a rich history filled symbolism and tradition. People often decorate with daffodils and leeks as those are symbols of Wales and St. David.
But that's not all – the day also brings the spirit of the Eisteddfod! 🎶📚This iconic festival of literature, music, and performance dates back to the 12th century, celebrating the rich cultural traditions of Wales. Eisteddfod attracts thousands of visitors and participants every year!
For our St. David’s Day celebration, we will be having our own local Eisteddfod! For our Eisteddfod, we will giving prizes to the 1st and 2nd place winner, as judged by the Landlady and the Publican. Those interested in participating can submit anything of artistic merit! It could be a poetry reading, singing, dancing, art, sculpture, or even a loaf of sourdough bread! We want to see all forms of art! Participants should email their entry to [email protected] with their name and entry information. The Fiddlin’ Pig Eisteddfod will begin at 5pm!
