About this Event
For over four years, St. Daniel Church has been dedicated to irradicating buckthorn and other invasive species on the property and restoring the oak & hickory habitat. Led by their Greenskeeper Team, they have re-planted a variety of native herbacious and shrubby species and the campus is now a recognized Conservation@Home site.
In a continuation of this, we will be planting 20 native trees on-site and will provide training for volunteers to learn how to properly plant and care for trees.
No experience is necessary and everyone is welcome! As a volunteer, you will work alongside the CRTI team and other fantastic volunteers to help us dig holes, plant trees, mulch, and water.
- Please wear long pants and close toed shoes
- Dress for the weather- we will plant rain or shine!
- Make sure to bring a full water bottle, snack, and sunscreen. We will take care of everything else!
We hope you join us and help contribute to the improvement of our local urban forests and making a difference in the community!
