The iSightCornwall team will be in St Austell as part of Optelec’s VisionZone St Austell taking place inside St Austell Library.Various members of the team will be in attendance to answer all your questions and queries regarding sight loss and the services currently available to visually impaired people in Cornwall.
We will also be demonstrating a number of assistive technology gadgets and devices designed specifically for visually impaired people, if there is a specific gadget or device that you would like us to bring to the event, please call us in advance on 01872 261110.
Getting to St Austell Library
St John’s Hall is located on Alverton Street and is convenient for all public transport. It is on the bus route with several bus stops close by. Penzance railway station is a 10 minute walk away.
St Austell Library has three on-road parking bays at the front of the library and two disabled spaces in the staff car park at the side of the library. There is also the Polkyth Pay and Display car park nearby (a three-minute walk) which accepts payment via cash, card and a mobile phone app.
The library is a five-minute walk from St Austell Train Station and has bus stops heading in both directions located just outside which are serviced by the 24, 25, 26, 27, 188 and 190 buses.
Accessibility
The building has disabled access at the front and side of the building and features an accessible toilet.
