Our next blues dance party will be with live music from Reckless and Blue! (This is the band of the Mile High Blues Society President!)This will serve as a kickoff event for Hot Jazz Jamboree 2024 for those rolling into town early for that weekend!
You can only find SSB at Denver's one and only Mercury Café (in the upstairs ballroom)! Come for good music, good dancing, and good people!
Doors open at 6:30pm. Free street parking or adjacent lots starting at only $4.
There will be a beginner-friendly blues dance lesson from 7-8pm. A dance party with live music from the band and DJ'ed band breaks will follow from 8-12.
7-8pm: All levels blues dance class
Instructors: Ari Nesher and Amos Rose!
8:30-11:30: Reckless and Blue (live blues band!)
DJ: Emory Roehrkasse (band breaks)
Admission:
$15- class only ($10 student discount with ID)
$20- dance only ($15 student discount with ID)
$35- class and dance ($25 student discount with ID)
**NOTE: Because of new pricing of the venue, we are no longer offering the $30 class and dance bundled discount- we hope that this small change will offset the extra costs that we have while keeping the dance affordable to attendees.
The dance is indoors, NO RESTRICTIONS: vaccine and mask optional. Please stay home if you feel unwell! Be safe, have fun! We can NOT wait to see you all and continue to celebrate the blues dance scene being back at the Merc! ❤
