SRF2024- MODERN ESPRESSO COMPETITION

We are excited to present The People's Choice - Modern Espresso Category!
This year, we will be introducing a new category for The People's Choice. Participating Roasters
will present an Espresso roast that will be evaluated by the Attendees themselves. The
espresso will be extracted to the exact recipe of 20g Dose to 48g - 50g Yield, within 35s - 38s.
Any espresso shot outside of this parameters will not be assessed and a new shot will be
extracted. This will be a knockout format, resulting in 1 winner.
The Coffee will be a Fully Washed Kenyan coffee from Kiamabara Factory, made up of SL28 &
SL34 varieties. Participating roasters need only sign up as an attendee of SRF 2024 & will
purchase their desired amount from 2nd Mile from 16th October onwards. They will be required
to bring 10 x 200g of the Roasted Coffee on the Forum day itself (1st November 2024)
