Have you been wanting to journal more but have been putting it off?Are you facing a challenge that could use a little more of your focused attention?
Are you looking for a reason to get out of the house and make some new friends?
If you answered yes to any of those, then Journal Jam might be right up your alley. Part writing club, part peer support, Journal Jam is a free, 2-hour community gathering designed to make space in your week for personal reflection.
This isn't a self-help sales pitch or group therapy, just folks who want to write coming together to write. If all goes well, we may leave with a bit more clarity than when we arrived.
How does it work?
The group will be provided with a handful of optional writing prompts to help guide your thoughts (this round’s theme: problem-solving), but you’re welcome to reflect on whatever feels most relevant to you and gets that pen moving! We’ll spend the first 60 minutes writing quietly, then enjoy a relaxed hour of optional sharing, listening and socializing.
Whether you’re a regular journaler or are completely new to thinking things through on paper, you’re welcome here. Bring your notebook (or laptops), your thoughts, and a little curiosity.
We would like to thank The Common for donating this space and sponsoring this event, allowing us to keep it free for the community. You can learn more about their co-working space at www.thecommon.io
