It's spring - it's a beautiful park - and it's Maji's Birthday. Time to dance!Let's celebrate this 'dam park, and all that it gives us. A place to walk and be in nature. A place to touch trees, catch fish, take a dip, romp with dogs, and play in a magic forest. A daily respite and refurge for many of us Harewoodians.
Maji will be spending the day with friends making land altars in the forest, at a location TBA. We'll meet there at 8pm to start our silent disco adventure.
Soundtracked by local legend Andrew Allsgood, we will journey to the upper end of the park, through the Tunnel to Grandmother Falls and back, dancing with Dionysus and other nature spirits as we go.
All profits from this will go to Murmur Arts Collective's new initiative to celebrate and protect our urban green spaces, using art and spectacle, and working with other local cultural and conservation-focused collectives.
