What: We welcome you to the historic Mineral Springs Farm –or “Springs Farm” as it is known locally for a work and fun weekend. End of May will be prime planting a gardening time. But we’ll be doing a bunch of fun things.Activities: Garden Planting, Outdoor Play, Solar Array Raising!
Saturday night feast, storytelling, jam session, and celebration
Local Guilford history tour (museum, one-room schoolhouse, grange hall)
Sat 4-5 Mini-Workshop -Building Community Resilience. Are you ready to navigate the “great disruption?” (Or meet more neighbors?) In Guilford and environs we’re experimenting with building civic infrastructure through a local food hub, coffeeklatch, monthly potlucks, a “homestead exchange,” and an innovative approach to emergency response.
Sun 9-10:00 am Tristan’s Traveling Plant Show! Skirret. Mandrake. Dang-shen. Rapunzel. Meet at Springs Farm with Tristan Roberts of Quill Nook Farm/Halifax (also a former VT State Rep) for a show-and-tell-and-taste - a walk through lost crops, plants of legend, and overlooked edibles and medicinals worth rediscovering.
Sun 1-2 pm Walking Tour of Guilford Center (Grange Hall, Guilford History Museum, One Room Schoolhouse)
Hopes/Expectations: We ask people to pitch in 4+ hours a day with projects –with meals provided! Children welcome but we won’t have organized childcare.

Meals Provided: Friday dinner, Sat breakfast, Sat dinner, Sun breakfast. Informal lunch, snack, and beverage station.
Brattleboro Farmers Market (Sat 9-2)
Overnight Accommodations: Lots of options! We’ve got 3 big bell tents -that sleep up to 5 people each –and plenty of camping sites to pitch a tent or park a van/trailer. Rustic barn hotel rooms. And a few indoor sleeping options, a cabin, and local hotels.
