10 years of Spring Watch on the Common will commence on Sunday 8 March 2026. A decade of walking and talking to many local folk, and listening to many tales about all manner of flora and fauna, local news plus of course … our feathered friends.
We have 3 more Sunday watches planned for all to enjoy on 12 April, 3 May and 7 June. All start from Tylers GreenVillage Hall at 7:00 am.
A small group of passionate twitchers will appear bleary eyed from their snore pits and circumnavigate the back common in an attempt to identify our resident nesting birds. Always good fun, good banter with a chance to chat all matters wildlife with local folk. Walks usually finish around 9:00 am at the pond, counting the ducks and drinking coffee.
