The spring tree giveaway for Bella Vista residents is set for Friday, April 10. Advanced sign up is required to reserve a tree, starting at 9 a.m. Friday, April 3.Species are available on a first come, first served basis. One tree per household is allowed.
Species available this year include:
• Yellow Buckeye
• Paw Paw, Riverbirch
• Labebette KT334 Grafted Pecan
• Redbud
• White Fringetree
• Carolina Silverbell
• Vernal Witchhazel
• Southern Magnolia
• Blackhaw Viburnum
Sign up online starting April 3 at https://bellavistaar.gov/treegiveaway.
Instructions for pickup will be sent to those who have successfully registered to receive a tree. Residents must provide proof of residency at pickup.
The trees have been provided by a grant through Foresting the Future tree program as part of a larger regional project to help increase and diversify the area’s tree canopy.
