About this Event
Needle felting is the art of shaping and layering wool fibers with a special barbed needle to create images or textures. In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn how to work with the basic tools and materials of needle felting, from understanding different types of wool to safely using the needles. We’ll focus on 2D felting, where fibers are pressed into a flat surface to create a design, similar to painting with wool. We’ll dabble in some 3D elements to create texture and depth. By the end of class, you’ll have a completed felted woodland squirrel of your own and the skills to continue exploring this creative process at home.
