Is this a/the World Naked Bike Ride? Not officially. But it's a good way to get introduced to Houston's WNBR culture without the compulsion to go Full Monty.-> Purpose: to express solidarity with the Southern Hemisphere World Naked Bike Rides that happen around the Spring Equinox, as well as with the Pride Ride crew & Rainbow Houston in general. Also, it's fun.
-> Start/Finish location: To Be Determined. Probably the Eagle (Stanford @ Hyde Park in the 'Trose) like last year.
-> Dress code: Undies or drag*. Shoes & helmets are strongly recommended as well.
-> Wheels: Skates, blades, boards, & e-bikes are welcome! E-bike riders should limit use of their motors & match speed with the rest of the pack.
-> Wait, did you say "World Naked Bike Ride"?: WNBR is an annual, worldwide protest FOR safe, sustainable transportation options; FOR freedom of expression; AGAINST car culture & climate chaos.
* i.e., if you don't want to ride in your skivvies, wear something not associated with your assigned gender as a gesture to those killjoys in the State Legislature. If you ride dressed in normal gear, you're quite missing the point. Expand your comfort zone.
