About this Event

Please join us in the Skylight Room for a very special first Wednesday musical event with the Spring Singers, who will be performing standards from throughout the 20th century. As always, the conversation and conviviality will continue over dinner downstairs after the program.

Anne Carney has worked in commercials, voice-over,

film and TV. She’s happy to be dipping her toe into singing

with this delightful and talented group.

Warren Chiasson came from Nova Scotia, but has al-

ways held a deep fascination and love for the classic American song.

The New York Times has cited him as one

of the top six jazz Vibraphonists of the last half century.

Kathy Frankovic has sung a lot of Gilbert & Sullivan as

well as American standards on stage here and there

(Hawaii, Princeton, Ithaca and at the Coffee House).

But professionally, she’s a political scientist and pollster, re-

tired from CBS News and now a consultant to YouGov.

Jane Gennaro is an actor, writer, and artist who loves to

sing and is delighted to be among the wonderful

performers celebrating spring with you tonight at the

historic Coffee House and Salmagundi Clubs.

MaryJo Gennaro is no stranger to singing in clubs

around Manhattan. For many years she was a headliner at

top cabarets and venues with her special brand of musical

comedy and touching ballads.

Hal Glatzer got his first paycheck for singing at age 12,

in the Boys’ Chorus of the Met. He was a folk and blue-

grass musician in college, but has been performing the

“great American songbook” for more than forty years.

Jess Korman writes and performs satirical songs at the

piano, has a background as a playwright, comedy writer,

and TV commercials producer. He has performed his

quirky music and comedy shows in clubs and cabarets in

New York and around the country.

Jacqueline Nieman is a life-long singer (aren’t we all!).

She spent 15 months on the oad with the Jimmy Dorsey

Orchestra before heading to NYC to work on Wall Street.

For 40 years she was a member of the a cappella jazz vocal

ensemble The Original Uptown Sound for 40 years.

She has also performed at Judy’s Cabaret with the vocal

trio Roo, Jackie & Tim. Music continues to bring joy!

Nancy Winston has been a pianist/singer in New York

City’s grand hotels for five decades, including 20 years at

the Cafè Pierre and most recently, The Plaza Athenèe. A

longtime member of The Coffee House, she coordinates

the first-Wednesday musical events (like this one).
