About this Event
Our Spring Sampler is an invitation to experience a taste of the women's empowerment projects that Leslie Hart-Davidson is getting ready to serve. In one energizing 2-hour session, you'll get a taste of three signature classes that will be offered at Lulu University, meet a small group of like-minded women, and spend the evening (or morning) in the beautifully restored mid-century space that is Number Ten.
What's included: Arrival with morning mimosas or an evening wine bar, light bites, and a guided tour of Number Ten — with the women's stories behind every room woven in.
(Must be 21+ to drink)
Sample Class 1: CRAP Design for Empowerment: Learn LHD's signature design principles straight from her books, walk the space spotting them in action, and audit your own home. You'll leave knowing exactly where your "MINE!" zone is and how to claim it.
Sample Class 2: Cooking for Empowerment A live cooking demo meets a history lesson nobody taught you — because the actual first lady of American cooking was a Black woman named Lena Richard, and it's time to set the record straight.
Sample Class 3: Intro to Female Empowerment through Lulu's Story Trace 250 years of women's rights through Lulu Franklin's lineage (Leslie's great grandmother), then turn the lens on your own life — who are you centering that would never center you, and what would it look like to stop?
Sessions run 2 hours | Max 12 students | $75 per session (Attended the Lansing Home & Garden Show? Apply your special handout code for $15 off!)
