About this Event
In Traditional Chinese Medicine’s Five Elements Theory and Daoist philosophy, Springtime is associated with the energy of the Wood Element. Wood represents ascending yang: what it means to operate from our roots, to (re)create, propel momentum in life and in turn, new beginnings.
This phase speaks to our inner creative, clarity, stability in movement, adaptability and resourcefulness. Spring and the Wood element are all about possibility!
The Qigong forms of this seasonal immersion will focus on balancing Qi flow within the liver, gallbladders and their associated meridians.
Through this fluid and ancient practice system, attendees will learn how to focus on identifying wood energy in and out of balance, seasonal movement forms, the importance of healthy joint mobilization, the emphasis of breath as it is, and how this system within Chinese Medicine lends itself to longevity and overall well-being.
ALL LEVELS. No prior experience required. Chair accommodations available (let us know ahead of time).
Participants will experience:
-Movement of stagnant energy and a deeper sense of body + mind + spirit renewal
-Seasonally and systematically appropriate meditations in accordance to Five Elements, Medical Qigong, & Daoist Theory
-A take home handout of sequencing
$90 early bird if registered by March 7th / $100 thereafter
