Join Wellfield Botanic Gardens and PapermongerLLC for a hands-on introduction to the art of paper quilling! In this workshop, you’ll learn how simple strips of paper can be rolled, shaped, and arranged into delicate designs. Your instructor, Jess, will teach you how to create a small framed floral piece, perfect for brightening a wall or gifting to someone special.Paper quilling is a meditative, calming craft that requires only a few basic tools but offers endless creative possibilities from cards and earrings to wall décor. This class is designed to be a relaxed space for creativity, conversation, and community. No prior experience is needed, and all supplies will be provided.
Your instructor, Jess, is a South Bend native and former social worker who now works as a full-time traveling artist. She shares paper quilling as a way to slow down, connect with your surroundings, and enjoy the process of making something by hand. Whether you’re joining to learn a new skill, spend time with loved ones, or simply try something different, Jess aims to create a cozy, kind, and stress-free environment where creativity can flourish.
This workshop is intended for ages 16+. All minors should be accompanied by an adult also registered for the class. This workshop will take place in our South Event Room inside the Visitors Center.
