Randolph's spring music concert, featuring Chorale, Chamber Orchestra, and guests, including Tianjing Sun, a classical guitarist and music educator.Currently a music teacher at the Nysmith School in Herndon, Sun previously served as an instructor of guitar at Randolph College. She holds an M.A. in Music Education from Liberty University, where her research focused on the legacy of women guitarists in the 20th century–a passion that informs her nuanced approach to the instrument.
A dedicated pedagogue and performer, she is delighted to return to Lynchburg to perform Vivaldi’s Lute Concerto in D Major and collaborate with the Randolph College ensembles on various modern choral works.
