Join the Pelican Park Nature Club this April for a special birdwatching series celebrating the incredible natural event known as spring migration! Each year, millions of vibrant songbirds pass through Louisiana—and this is your chance to see them up close.
Over five guided birdwalks, participants will explore a variety of local natural areas while learning to identify migratory species like warblers, buntings, and more. Whether you're brand new to birdwatching or a seasoned enthusiast, all are welcome!
Event Highlights:
• Free, guided birdwalks led by Alex Landry, Pelican Park’s Naturalist and experienced birdwatcher.
• Perfect for beginners—no experience needed
• Binoculars available to borrow thanks to a generous donation from SportOptics!

Time: All walks begin at 8:00 AM

Accessibility: We will walk down Lake Road during this program, which is a wide gravel road with no shade. There are no facilities at the boat launch.
