A creative morning of connection, stillness and art making.
About this Event

This workshop offers space to pause and connect with our creativity, inner wisdom, the season of spring and with each other.

The word mandala comes from Sanskrit and is commonly translated as “circle”. It signifies wholeness, unity, and the interconnectedness of all things. Creating a mandala is a form of meditative art-making, and mandalas can act as symbolic time-stamps — marking moments, transitions, and seasons in our lives.

Using a compass, you will be guided step-by-step through creating a seven-circle Seed of Life geometric pattern. From there, you’ll be invited to follow your creative instincts to develop your own unique mandala. There will be time to reflect and explore the symbolism your mandala holds for you.

No artistic experience is needed — this workshop is about taking time out to nourish ourselves, play, experiment and make art together.

All materials will be provided. You’ll have the choice to work with watercolours, markers, or colouring pencils, allowing you to explore the mediums you enjoy most.

It will be a morning to relax, reflect, connect with others and take stock of where we are at. There will be tea, snacks, quiet time, chats and time for refelction and sharing.

About the Facilitator

Rebecca is a creative facilitator and nature educator and is currently studying herbal medicine. She discovered mandala-making spontaneously two years ago during a period of high stress and burnout, and began to notice the calming and restorative effects the practice had on her mind and body. Since then, she has created hundreds of mandalas and believes that art-making is fundamental to wellbeing.

Rebecca is interested in creating low-pressure, welcoming creative spaces where people can step out of the busyness of everyday life, connect with others, and explore the healing benefits and gentle transformation that tapping into our creativity can offer .
