• Seed starting vs. transplants vs. direct seeding
• Basic tools + how to use them
• Hands-on transplanting practice
Whether you're starting from scratch or refining an existing space, this class helps you move from idea to action.
🌿 Session 2: Soil, Water Management & Plant Care
April 18 | 9 AM–12 PM
Healthy soil = healthy plants.
This session dives into what’s happening beneath the surface and how to support it naturally.
We’ll cover:
• What makes soil healthy (and how to improve it)
• Composting + vermicomposting basics
• Affordable, organic soil amendments
• Building or reviving garden beds
• Watering strategies + plant care fundamentals
Expect to get your hands in the dirt — this one is practical and tactile.
🌼 Session 3: Gardening Through the Season
April 25 | 9 AM–12 PM
Keep your garden thriving as the season unfolds.
This session focuses on maintaining momentum, troubleshooting challenges, and making the most of your space.
We’ll cover:
• Common garden pests + natural deterrents
• Troubleshooting real garden issues (participant-led discussion)
• Cover cropping + soil care through the season
• Understanding NPK + plant needs
• Maximizing space + succession planting
• Harvesting + preserving what you grow
This is where everything comes together — helping you adapt, adjust, and grow with the season.
