About this Event
Spring is about freshness, new life and rebirth; and it is as true for the wine we drink as for the daffodils we cut. Now is the time for crunchy riparian reds, zestful whites and spritely roses that revitalise the flagging spirits of winter. Tonight we assemble eight of our favourites, from the Danube to the Loire, from Sauvignon to Riesling, with reds from the mountains of Greece as well as the high slopes of Fleurie and cherry scented Valpolicella from Veneto. The classics sit well alongside more esoteric offerings on our gustatory picnic blanket. All we need is a little sun and saucisson (or an active imagination)!
Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
