FREE EVENT!Come celebrate all-things-Spring on the Shaker Village farm! Our new family-friendly event is a grand re-opening party for the Shaker Village season…and we’re bringing in some new party animals– baby animals!
Don’t worry, our elder animals are well represented and will be happy to share the limelight with the new crew. Come see our new lambs and learn all about daily life on our farm, among the oldest farms in Maine still operated under the same management, since 1783. See Scottish highland cattle, a flock of more than 70 sheep, bees, barn cats, apple orchards, and lots of special guests including kid goats, ducklings, oxen, and rabbits. Create a make & take mini garden and purchase some of Brother Arnold’s freshly baked Shaker Rhubarb Crisp (you don’t want to miss that!!)
We will also be featuring vendors of farm-grown products, handmade artisans, and food trucks. Cruzin Slice will be joining us with their absolutely delicious pizza. There will be face painting, cotton candy, herbal popcorn, taste testing of Shaker Village’s new line of herbal products, Maine Homestead jam & pickle tasting, and craft demonstrations!
