Spring Feisty Phoenix Day 1Phoenix Running is inviting you to join us along The Itchen Way in Winchester for our Phoenix Running Hampshire event 'Spring Feisty Phoenix Day 1'. This course has been professionally measured and has a Road Permit for this event. So, whether you're going for a GFA, a 'Road Marathon', or simply want to run on a beautiful smooth course without getting your trainers all muddy, then please join us. It's always a party with Phoenix.
This is one of our timed events where you choose from one 2.62 mile out/back, to as many as you wish in 7 hours. Five out/backs for a Half Marathon, ten for a Marathon, and eleven or more for an Ultra. The course is an out/back along the beautiful Itchen Way, crossing over the Hockley Viaduct, and back. We welcome all abilities of runner - complete one lap and you're both a finisher and a winner in our eyes or keep going and see how far you can get in the full 7 hour time limit and everyone gets the fabulous bespoke finisher's medal. Our aid station is also famous for all its sweet and savoury goodies and signature POTATOES, we will always provide plenty of Vegan options too, so you won't go hungry!
We operate our uniquely flexible rock up and run start times, so no waiting around if you arrive early and no added pressure if you're running a bit late. The official start time is at 0800, but you are welcome to start anytime up till 1300. Give yourself plenty of time to complete the distance of your choice, as the course will close at 1500. The event will be based in the Garnier Road Car Park, with ample parking available a short 3 minute walk away at the St. Catherine's Park & Ride.
If you have any special start time requirements then just get in touch because depending on the distance you are planning to run, we can pretty much accommodate all start time requests.
Not sure? Well, the beauty of this format is that you don't even need to decide in advance. Simply come and run a lap and see how you feel on the day and keep on going if it feels right.
