Spring Equinox Yoga and Hiking Retreat with Moonchild Summer Yoga
Ready to refresh your mind and body? Join our Spring Equinox yoga and hiking retreat! Celebrate the new season with uplifting yoga sessions and virtual hikes that energize and inspire. Perfect for all levels, this is your chance to connect with nature and yourself. Let’s welcome spring together with good vibes, movement, and mindfulness!
Weekend Commuter rate includes, chef-prepared meals, guided yoga & hiking sessions, and fun – without lodging.
Commuter guests can arrive at the Lakside retreat location during these times:
Friday 5PM-8PM Saturday, 8AM-8PM Sunday, 8AM-11AM
For our hiking adventure, we are heading to Santee State Park in Santee, SC. Known for its distinctive flooded cypress forests, abundant wildlife, and over 10 miles of trails for hiking and biking, including the Sinkhole Pond Trail, showcasing the park’s unique landscape.
What’s waiting for you:
- Daily Yoga & Meditation: Morning flows overlooking Lake Marion, African yoga by Yoga teacher, Kristy, and restorative evening sessions.
- Nature Immersion: A guided hike at Santee State Park and kayaking (optional) on the lake.
- Community: Prepared gourmet meals by our personal chef from Columbia and sunset reflections by the water.

Spring Equinox Yoga and Hiking Retreat - Day 1 Arrive and Grounding
Info: Day 1: Arrive and ground
Focus: Transitioning from "busy life" to the retreat space.
16:00 - 17:30 Check-in and welcome refreshments. Serve a signature herbal tea and healthy local snacks.
17:30 - 18:30 Meditation, opening circle, and ice breaker bingo game. A slow, meditation session to calm the nervous system and breathe, followed by a brief intention-setting ceremony, and an ice breaker bingo game to get to know your new ‘Moonchild’ yogi friends.
18:30 - 20:30 Gourmet welcome dinner. A communal, long-table plant-based meal. This is where the "community" vibe is built.
20:30 - 21:15 Yoga Nidra (Sleep Yoga). A guided meditation to ensure everyone gets a good first night's sleep.

Day 2- Movement and Explore
Info: Day 2: Movement and explore
Focus: Movement, education, and nature.
07:30 - 08:00 Silent tea/coffee and fruit. Encourage silence until the first practice.
08:00 - 09:00 Energizing morning Vinyasa. A more physical, "sweat-and-flow" session.
09:30 - 11:00 Hearty brunch. Think avocado toasts, shakshuka, or high-protein grain bowls.
11:00 - 13:30 Nature immersion / guided hike. Carpool to Santee State Park and enjoy the walking trails and cypress trees. Stop for a grounding meditation in the forest.
14:00 - 16:00 Free time. Explore Lake Marion by kayak or take a nap.
16:30 - 17:30 African yoga session with Kristy. A special African flow session with Kristy, moving the body with natural elements.
18:00 - 19:30 Nourishing dinner.
20:00 - 21:00 Bonfire and connection. A casual space for guests to chat and bond.

Day 3- Harvest and Depart

Focus: Integration and taking the "feeling" home.
07:30 - 09:00 Heart-opening flow and closing ceremony. A final yoga session focused on gratitude, followed by a circle where guests share one takeaway.
09:00 - 10:30 Farewell breakfast. A simple and light breakfast, with grab-and-go breakfast options.
10:30 - 11:00 Photos and goodbyes. Exchange contacts and say your goodbyes to your new 'Moonchild' yogi friends.
