As winter loosens its grip and darkness balances with daylight, join us to celebrate the Spring Equinox by stepping into the watery world of the Somerset Levels.Over two days we’ll explore how people thousands of years ago crossed the once vast, watery landscapes of the marshes using wooden trackways and canoes.
Here's what to Expect:
• Discover how early communities travelled through wetlands
• Join in with some hands on activities, including using Neolithic tools to build a reconstruction of a prehistoric trackway
• See the hand-carved canoe displayed beside the Iron Age roundhouse and learn how these boats were made and used
Drop in, normal admission applies.
No booking required.
