The Guardian stated in 2003 that "for more than 3,000 years, the Uffington White Horse has been jealously guarded as a
masterpiece of minimalist art" The Uffington Horse is by far the oldest of the white horse figures in Britain and is an entirely different design from the others inspired by it.
- Wayland's Smithy is another highlight of today's walk. This one of the finest Neolithic Long Barrows in the country.
- Dragon Hill is a natural chalk hill with an artificially flattened top (on the scarp slope of White Horse Hill; according to legend Saint George slew the dragon here. A bare patch of chalk upon which no grass will grow is purported to be where the dragon's blood spilled. It has been suggested as some sort of Iron Age ritual site associated with the nearby hill figure.

- Ashdown House and grounds.
