Competition Details by Event
1. Log Press for Reps
• Event Description: Competitors will lift a log for as many repetitions as possible within a 60-second time frame. Each athlete’s category uses a different size and weight log.
• Categories & Weights:
• Beginner: Log weight = 25 kg (using a standard 6-inch log).
• Novice: Log weight = 35 kg (using a Mirafit 8-inch log).
• Intermediate: Log weight = 45 kg (using a Celtic Strength 10-inch log).
• Open: Log weight = 55 kg (using a Strength Shop 13-inch log).
• Rules:
• Each lift must start from the pads on the floor.
• Competitor must press the log overhead and lock out the arms.
• Reps are counted when the log is under control, overhead, with elbows locked out.
• Maximum reps in 60 seconds.

2. Max Deadlift
• Event Description: Competitors will perform 3 nominated lifts with the aim of achieving their heaviest successful deadlift.
• Categories & Weights:
• Beginner: Max lift starting weight = 100 kg.
• Novice: Max lift starting weight = 120 kg.
• Intermediate: Max lift starting weight = 130 kg.
• Open: Max lift starting weight = 140 kg.
• Rules:
• Competitors nominate three lifts.
• Standard deadlift form, with hips and shoulders rising together.
• Straps are allowed.
• The heaviest successful lift determines the winner in each category.

3. Sandbag to Shoulder
• Event Description: Competitors lift sandbags from the ground to their shoulder as many times as possible within 60 seconds.
• Categories & Weights:
• Beginner: Sandbag weight = 30 kg.
• Novice: Sandbag weight = 40 kg.
• Intermediate: Sandbag weight = 60 kg.
• Open: Sandbag weight = 80 kg.
• Rules:
• The sandbag must be fully resting on the competitor’s shoulder.
• The opposite hand to the sandbag must be off the sandbag and out to the side for the rep to count.
• Maximum reps in 60 seconds.

4. Sled Push into Seated Pull
• Event Description: Competitors push a sled for 10 meters and then transition into pulling it back in a seated position within a 60-second time limit.
• Categories & Weights:
• Beginner: Sled weight = 50 kg (subject to confirmation).
• Novice: Sled weight = 60 kg (subject to confirmation).
• Intermediate: Sled weight = 70 kg (subject to confirmation).
• Open: Sled weight = 80 kg+ (subject to confirmation).
• Rules:
• Competitors start by pushing the sled for 10 meters.
• Once completed, they immediately sit and perform a rope pull to drag the sled back to the starting position.
• The objective is to complete both tasks within the 60-second time limit.
• Fastest overall completion wins.

5. Farmers Walk

• Event Description: Competitors carry a pair of farmer’s implements for a distance of 20 meters in the fastest time possible.
• Categories & Weights:
• Beginner: Farmers implements weight = 50 kg per hand.
• Novice: Farmers implements weight = 60 kg per hand.
• Intermediate: Farmers implements weight = 70 kg per hand.
• Open: Farmers implements weight = 80 kg per hand.
• Rules:
• The competitor will start with the weights on the ground.
• Time stops when both implements cross the finish line (20 meters).
• The fastest time wins.
• This event will take place outside unless inclement weather necessitates moving indoors, in which case it will be two 10-meter runs on AstroTurf.

Categories Overview

1. Beginner:
• This category is designed for those who have never competed before and completely new to strongwoman events.
• Ideal for athletes who want to experience strongwoman events for the first time or have minimal lifting experience.
• Weights are lighter and less technical.
2. Novice:
• Suitable for beginners with some experience in strongwoman events.
• Weights are still manageable but slightly heavier than in the Beginner category.
• Athletes may have participated in a few small competitions.
3. Intermediate:
• Athletes have some competition experience and are progressing in strength and technique.
• Weights are more challenging compared to the Novice category.
4. Open:
• Open to all competitors, regardless of experience.
• Weights are the heaviest, and athletes are usually well-versed in multiple strongwoman events.
• Most competitors have participated in several competitions.

• Entry Fee: £35 per person (includes T-shirt and trophy for top 3).

• Each category will have a maximum of 10-12 participants.
• Minimum of 5 athletes required per category for that category to run.
• Spectators:
• Due to space constraints, only 1 spectator per athlete is allowed unless the event can be held outdoors, in which case more spectators may be accommodated depending on weather conditions.
