Come join the fun with the lighthouse crew of volunteers for a great team effort in preparing Trowbridge Island for visitors this summer.Help us clear the trails and walkways, touch up paint on railings, pitch a tent, tend to the lighkeeper's gardens and enjoy a relaxing picnic with a gorgeous view from the veranda then take time for a little hike around one of the most beautiful lighthouse islands on Superior, right at the foot of the Giant.
Dress warm and in safe comfortable clothes to work in, be prepared for rain and be prepared for a positive social volunteer event that many look forward each season. And a total bonus is the lack of mosquitoes on the island.
Come be a part of something and make the best of spring using your skills to support the community.
Just keep in mind that being set on a cliff, there is a good deal of elevation to traverse so please consider your overall safety and abilities, there are other lighthouse opportunities and events that are less challenging terrain involved.

Charters leave from Silver Islet at 9, 10 & 11am with Archie's and you can expect to arrive back mid afternoon and maybe if you are lucky the General Store will be open, as soon around that time should be closer to summer hours there.
