✨ Spring Candlelight Walk ✨Join us for a peaceful evening walk along the City of Merrill / Council Grounds shared trail as we welcome the beauty of spring!
This relaxing, 1.5 mile gravel trail will be softly illuminated with small lights to guide your way. Participants may begin their walk at either the Merrill Area Recreation Complex (MARC) or Council Grounds State Park. A vehicle admission pass is required for entry into Council Grounds State Park and can be purchased at the park entrance. Restrooms available at the MARC.
The Friends of Council Grounds will have a warming fire at the park office weather permitting, fresh popped popcorn, and water station perfect for gathering with friends.
Keep an eye out… Smokey Bear may make a special appearance!
Leashed, well-behaved pets and strollers are welcome. Please ensure pets are comfortable around others in a low-light setting.
Consider bringing a flashlight or headlamp for additional visibility if desired.
