Spring Burnout Retreat
Come join us for a relaxing day retreat at The Hive! Immerse yourself in nature, unwind from the stresses of the city, and connect with like-minded souls. Our Spring Burnout Retreat is for women as self-identified who are stuck in cycles of burnout or near burnout.
The retreat is a blend of relaxation, creativity, and togetherness all set in the heart of Epping Forest. The day is designed to soothe your nervous system and re-fill your cup by going back to basics in nature.
Come just as you are and take part in a guided forest walk, calming breathwork, nature crafts and song, sharing, and delicious seasonal food. The day will be gentle and lighthearted and will be run from the beautiful studio space at the Hive, and into the forest nearby.*
All ticket holders are invited to join two community 'burnout clinics' following the retreat, to embed what you've learned in practice and get more tailored support.
Burnout clinic dates are 17th and 24th of May: 9.30-11am on zoom**
Re-wild your mind in the woods with us, just a peaceful stroll away from Chingford Overground station***

Rebecca Birch
Hi! I'm Rebecca and I’m an Epping Forest- based coach, facilitator and recovering busy person.
I spent ten years of my career in the social sector being very hard on myself, putting work progression above life and being a hopeless perfectionist. My third burnout (see this blog) left me feeling very lost, and I had to get serious about finding my spark again.
I had hard conversations, learned to rest, made time for joy, and moved to the forest so I could walk everyday. Most of all, I let go of the belief that what I ‘do’ is more important than who I 'am.' There are still hurdles that come my way, but I’ve been able to get beyond the cycle of burnout now and get up every day to do the work that I love, with the guidance of my cat Earl Grey and the buzzing habitats around me.
Aside from my burnout coaching work, I am a community worker, designer, and forest school practitioner. I LOVE bringing people together to eat food around the fire, explore our natural surroundings, to make and create joyful things, or simply to just ‘be’ together under blankets.
I will be the one to celebrate it when you rest, give you the permission to say no, and will always have a creative activity or Beyonce sing-along up my sleeve.

Hello, I'm Isabella.
I’m a nature connection facilitator, writer and lawyer-in-training. My relationship with burnout is complex and chronic. I’ve struggled through countless cycles of burnout for many years and it was only through finding a safe and supportive space last year that I was able to take meaningful steps towards my healing. As someone who lives with mild CFS, I now see my recovery as a daily practice and nature as a safe space for deep rest.
You can count on me to be a humble witness to your own relationship with burnout, giving you a space to be listened to and give tender voice to the ways burnout shows up in your life.

What people say:
"It is so powerful to be part of a community committed to healing for each other and ourselves - I've learnt so much about myself and my own resilience and capability, but also more about joy and creativity and playfulness too."
"I valued the generosity, patience, and kindness that's been extended to me. Being able to spend time in nature and completely off the grid. Getting to be playful and creative and silly and vulnerable all at once and not feeling judged for it. "
"This has given me the language to talk and think about burnout, which has helped me to be firm on boundaries as I go back into work."
-Beyond Burnout programme participants
''What I love about Rebecca is her coaching approach - and her calm! She's hyper aware of people and their needs, and she centres opportunities for relationships to flourish. When designing the retreat together I've loved her attention to detail, ensuring all senses are part of the experience through scent, taste, sound and even touch. These qualities mean that I will work with Rebecca again and again."
