How It Works
Maximum of 7 Players

Maximum of seven (7) players to ensure quality interaction and balanced gameplay.

What Teens Will Experience in This D&D Mini-Campaign
Strategy and Collaborative Storytelling

Teens will work together to solve complex challenges that require planning, communication, and creative problem-solving. Every scenario invites discussion, negotiation, and shared decision-making. Players must listen to one another, adapt strategies in real time, and think critically about consequences.

Dungeons and Dragons provides a structured environment where imagination is guided by rules, encouraging both creativity and logical thinking.

Character Development Across Sessions

Unlike a one-shot, this mini-campaign allows players to build a character that grows over time. As the story unfolds, teens make meaningful choices that influence not only the plot, but also how their character evolves.

This ongoing arc encourages long-term thinking, personal responsibility within a team, and the ability to reflect on decisions and adjust accordingly.

Engagement and Leadership Skills

Small group size ensures every teen has a voice at the table. Players take turns leading discussions, proposing plans, and advocating for their ideas. The format naturally builds confidence in communication while reinforcing respectful collaboration.

In a structured, moderated setting, teens practice:

  • Public speaking in low-pressure scenarios
  • Listening and responding thoughtfully
  • Supporting teammates toward a shared goal

The result is an experience that is both socially engaging and intellectually stimulating.

Experience Level and Requirements
Prior D&D Experience
  • Some prior D&D experience recommended
  • Players should be familiar with basic 5e mechanics
  • Newer players are welcome if they have completed at least one prior session

Material Requirements
  • None--all materials will be provided!
  • If you have your own dice and other accessories, you're encouraged to bring them

Character Creation

Character sheets and all game materials will be provided.

We'll collect some information about what kind of character your teen would like to play and then create a well-rounded party of characters.

Meet Your Dungeon Master

This campaign is Dungeon Mastered by Jason Bullara, co-founder of The Tabletop Society. Jason brings years of experience running structured campaigns, with a focus on engagement and player agency.

Jason currently runs monthly one-shot campaigns for adults at the Plainedge Public Library, an ongoing anthology campaign on The Tabletop Society Discord server, and is coming up on the conclusion of a three-year Curse of Strahd campaign with TTS co-founder AnnMarie and their D&D party party.
