About this Event

Cooking, hands-on learning, trying new foods…… that’s what makes Cooking Round the World summer camps so much fun!

Health and safety protocol is strictly adhered to; classes limited to 12 kids. There are No nuts in any recipe. Wearing a mask is optional.

Below are descriptions of class offerings: (To note not all course offerings are available at all locations)

Camp Descriptions

A Plate of Pixar

Children will enjoy a different favorite Pixar movie through an interpretation of the foods mentioned in films like Ratatouille, Toy Story, Monsters Inc, and others! Kids come away from this awesome experience with new cooking skills.

Peace Through Food

This camp looks at the conflict between warring countries and discusses how peace could be brought about. We cook and eat foods from both countries to show how breaking bread could bring about harmony.

Dumplings Round the World

Some call them perogies, others call them won tons; still others call them kreplach. Whatever you call them, international dumplings are delicious with various fillings and dipping sauces.

Star Wars: May the Fork Be With You

Campers will visit the dark side and the light side of the galaxy with imaginative food creations from Star Wars characters like Chewbacca, BB8, R2D2, Princess Leia, Yoda and many others.

International Baking

This program explores and dives into aspects of baking techniques and baked dishes from around the world. Breads, pies, cookies, cakes and baked savory dishes. Yum!

Harry Potter: Taste the Magic

From butterbeer pancakes to double double chocolate cauldron cake , campers will enjoy Hogwarts culinary delights!

Dish of Disney

Kids will cook, eat and have fun with Disney characters andf movies. Food is an interpretation of Disney (i.e. Pizza Planet Pizza from Toy Story, grubs and bugs from Lion Kings, meatball stroganoff from Anatasia, etc).

Oodles of Noodles

From your typical bow tie noodles and spaghetti, to the more unusual: pizza topped linguini and stuffed pasta, Oodles of Noodles will introduce your child to a variety of pastas and sauces. Did I mention dessert pasta….. yeah, we’ll be making that too!

Celebrity Chefs

TV Network Celebrity chefs like Bobby Flay, Rachel Ray, Gordon Ramsey, Giada DeLaurentiis, and Ree Drummond all have their signature dishes. We will recreate those dishes and learn how these TV chefs became stars!

International Pies

From Irish Shepherd’s pie, to Greek Spanikopita, from French quiche to Filipino Buko pies, your child will learn pie making techniques with an international twist. Both sweet and savory pies will be included. We’ll make the dough and fillings and … eat the pies as well!

Rise Up: The Art of Bread Baking

The only thing better than the smell of homemade bread is being able to eat the bread. This bread making class teaches kneading techniques, the science behind yeast, flour varieties, bread shapes and loaf pans, using various baking tools, and incorporating interesting herbs into the breads. Program also includes the making of jams, marmalades, and butters.

Pizza Mania

If your child is a pizza hound, this is the week for them! Pizza’s Round the World, at least 2 different pizzas each day! From Indian Naan bread pizza to French Benedict Pizza, to German berry dessert pizza…. Children will learn to make… and love to eat a variety of pizzas. There will be additional side dishes.

Super Food and Super Heroes!

From Spiderman pretzel webs, to Thor cupcakes, to Wolverine burgers, to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle pizza your child will have a “Marvel”-ous time exploring the world of super heroes!

Cooking Round the USA

Campers will visit a different US state each day, learn about what that state is distinctly known for, and eat delicious foods associated with from that state: Idaho Corn and Potato Mini Pancakes with Mango Salsa, Washington Gruyere, Apple and Onion Frittata, Alabama Cornbread Muffins with Sweet Butter, more!

Fairytale Cooking

After retelling 5 beloved fairytales – 1 a day -, we will create dishes representative of our favorite stories: Cinderella’s pumpkin coach, Goldilocks’ chocolate quinoa porridge, Little Red Riding Hood’s bread basket, and more!

Mac N Cheese Me

The days of plain old mac and cheese are over! This class explores various pastas, numerous cheese sauces, sweet and savory additions to the mac and cheese… it’s all about transforming the tried and true into something unexpected and sensational!
