About this Event
Curious about birds and the incredible species flocking back to the Pacific Northwes this spring? Join professional naturalist and experienced birder Kate Brown for a relaxed Sunday bird walk at Cornwall Park. We will chat about what to look and listen for while birding, discuss some of the common species we are likely to spot in this park and what makes them unique- then meander the trails while birding and chatting. Bring any binoculars you might have (I own a few to share!). This park is frequented by Pileated Woodpeckers, Pacific Wrens, Red -beeasyed Nuthatch and Brown Creepers.
Accessibility Note: We will be meeting at the meridian street entrance to Cornwall Park- right near the covered picnic pavilion. The trails we will be exploring are very flat, and the trail surface is made up of hard packed dirt, pavement and gravel. Bathroom Facilities are available at the trailhead.
